This project was done as part of AIE's second year environment modelling assessment, taking couple weeks to complete.
For this, I've used Ben Marquardt's amazing work with his permission as a perfect point to adapt concept art into a 3D model!
The model has gone through a high-to-low pipeline. The ghostly cat was done in ZBrush to capture its soft form. In addition, a trim sheet was worked off from a subdivided model with details later added in ZBrush. The trim sheet was utilized across the model to save on time, in addition to making the model overall more efficient to load in. For other elements of the scene, the building and props were done through subdivision modelling before being baked in through the textures. However, due to the time constraints, the characters were done completely in low-poly. It was a fun experience overall, although I would've loved to do two extra characters included in the original artwork.
Thank you very much for giving me the chance to bring the concept to life, Ben Marquardt!
